I've been playing for only a couple of weeks now with a
Hohner Blues Harp I bought at a local music shop
knowing absolutely nothing about harps. I can't get a
consistent draw 6 or 5 on it, if I stop and draw hard
the note comes out, but otherwise it doesn't. I opened
it up to see if anything was caught...it didn't seem
like it, but one of the wooden teeth got sort of soggy
and cracked.
Anyway, I'm going plastic this time,
either a Lee Oskar Diatonic Major or a Hohner Special
20 (input?), and considering the only thing the stores
here have are Marine Bands and Blues Harps (plus one
for $4.95 :)), which online vendor are people fond of?
Considering price difference is ~$3, it isn't that big
a deal to me, I just want someplace that isn't going to
take the money and run or wait six months to deliver.
