My Dilemna…I have played Hohner Harmonicas since I was about 24… the best part of 40 years or so…
I am, what you might call, a frustrated musician, although I can play almost any tune I hear by ear, I never have mastered the true art of the instrument.
My frustration is as follows:
Why, on the ten reed harmonica, is there a note on the lower end of the scale that is “ off key” I own a larger harmonica, the Chromonica 270 and on it, I can play up and down the scale without that annoying ( to me) missing or off key note.
I prefer the pro-harp or marine band as they are easy to carry about, but I have never been able to find one with the complete scale.
Is there a ten reed or perhaps a 15 reed instrument that I can purchase that has , for the lack of a better description, a complete scale.
